About the Business
David McCabe established Five Point Consulting in 2012, having previously founded another advisory practice prior to that in 2006. David has been in financial services since 1989, having started his working career in retail management, building up considerable experience across the spectrum of personal financial advice. He has worked for some of the largest names in the profession as well as smaller regional business, but feels that he can provide a much more personal service by being in control of his own business rather than feeling constrained by a corporate ethos. David has held the Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS), which became the minimum qualification level in January 2013, since 2010. He also currently holds BS ISO 22222:2005 certification, an internationally agreed benchmark which specifies requirements and provides a framework that applies to the ethical behaviour, competencies and experience of a professional financial planner.
